Heathy Working Lives

Since January 2008, Community Pharmacy Scotland has been committed to a programme of improving workplace health through the Healthy Working Lives award programme.

The Healthy Working Lives Awards are promoted by the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and promote a planned and integrated approach to improving health at work. The programme also promotes healthier and safer workplaces by reviewing work environments and offering guidance and support with the implementation of successful safety and work employment policies and practices.

This is done by progressing through a series of Awards, Bronze, Silver and ultimately Gold.

Right from the start the group set their sights high and adopted their motto as “Go for Gold”. They defined their purpose as “to run and deliver a Healthy Working Lives programme for Community Pharmacy Scotland by promoting and encouraging a healthy working lifestyle and environment in our workplace through active involvement and positive teamwork”.
