AMS Automation

From the 1st February 2010, PSD has been using electronic claim messages to automate the payment for an agreed list of items. This initial pilot involved 83 such lines.

The evaluation of this pilot has shown it to be an effective and accurate method of payment, therefore Community Pharmacy Scotland and PSD have agreed to expand the automation process over the coming months.

*The Automation list now contains all drugs except the caplet form of generic Paracetamol and CoCodamol and Methadone. It does not yet contain any Borderline Substances (ACBS), Dressings or Appliances, stoma or incontinence products.
