Pharmacy Visits

This year we have introduced a new service for pharmacy contractors. On request a member of our team will visit your pharmacy for up to half a day and will use their expertise to help and advise you on your prescription submission.

They will look at the prescriptions you are about to submit for pricing and comment on the dispensing and endorsing, paying particular attention to:

• Methadone scripts

• Oxygen scripts and GP64a forms

• Stock orders

• Designated shortages

• Standard and Quality of endorsements both hand written and electronic

• Completion of GP 34

• Scripts with an invoice

• Whether the prescriber matches the form type

• MAS, CPUS and PHS services

They will also answer any questions you may have and will bring some useful hand outs with them. If you have questions about the latest claim forms for new services or need help locating information on our website our staff will be very glad to help you.

At the moment we have the capacity to carry out around 4 visits per month. We will review the service throughout the year and monitor its progress and popularity.
