It is acknowledged in the consultation document that more work is needed to develop the principle that the fees set should reflect the costs of regulation. Community Pharmacy Scotland as the representative body for the owners of community pharmacy premises is supportive of the principle but is unable to commit fully to it until such time as we are in a position to satisfy ourselves that the costs associated with regulation are reasonable and lined up with actions needed to protect the public.
