Margaret Burgess MSP Visits Lloyds Pharmacy In Irvine
MSP Margaret Burgess was given an opportunity to see how community pharmacists are helping deliver modern healthcare when she visited Lloyds Pharmacy in Irvine.
The visit was organised by Community Pharmacy Scotland, which represents the interests of the owners of Scotland’s 1234 community pharmacies, in order for Margaret to see the contribution a modern community pharmacy is having on the community’s health practices.
Margaret Burgess MSP is a member of the Diabetes Cross Party Group in the Scottish Parliament and has a keen interest on health issues in her constituency of Cunninghame South.
Margaret met with Gail Turnball Lloyds Pharmacy manager and Peter McPhillips Area Manager Lloyds Pharmacy, staff, patients and representatives of Community Pharmacy Scotland to see, at first hand, the important contribution that community pharmacists and pharmacy assistants are making on the frontline of the modern NHS.
