Alison McInnes MSP Visits Rowlands Pharmacy In Ellon
The Liberal Democrat spokeswoman for Health and Justice at the Scottish Parliament, Alison McInnes, visited Rowlands Pharmacy in Ellon this week (July 29th).
The visit of the local MSP was organised by Community Pharmacy Scotland, which represents the owners of Scotland’s 1228 community pharmacies, to help the politician see at first hand the contribution a modern community pharmacy to the local community.
She met staff from Rowlands and members of Community Pharmacy Scotland to see at first hand the important work that community pharmacists now provide on the front line of the modern NHS.
Alison said: "Pharmacies play a key role in delivering local medical care. They can be an important first point of contact for people. That is why I was keen to learn more at first hand of the work of a local pharmacist. I have a great admiration for the vital work they do."
Michelle Strachan, Pharmacy Manager at Rowlands Pharmacy, said: “Pharmacies play a very important role in the community providing essential services as well as advice. Rowlands is particularly proactive in its approach to the health and wellbeing of its customers and patients and we’re always looking at new ways in which we can add value to our existing services.
