Bob Doris MSP Visits Rowlands Pharmacy In Springburn
Glasgow MSP Bob Doris was given an opportunity to see how community pharmacists are helping deliver modern healthcare when he visited the Rowlands Pharmacy in Springburn.
The visit was organised by Community Pharmacy Scotland, which represents the interests of the owners of Scotland’s 1232 community pharmacies, in order for Mr Doris to see the contribution a modern community pharmacy is having on the community’s health practices.
Bob Doris MSP is the vice convener of the Health and Sport committee at the Scottish Parliament. One of the main remits of the Health and Sport Committee is to consider and report on health policy and the NHS in Scotland and other matters falling within the responsibility of the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing. For this reason Community Pharmacy Scotland is keen to demonstrate to members of the committee the increasing role that pharmacies now have on the health practices of local communities.
