(GPhC) General Pharmaceutical Council

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the regulator for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises in Great Britain.

In September 2010, the regulation of over 50,000 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises in England, Scotland and Wales will be transferred from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) to the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

As a result of the transfer to the GPhC there will be several important changes that will have a direct impact on you as a pharmacy professional. These include changes to standards, to registration and renewal and to continuing professional development (CPD).
