Cash Fears For Sexual Health Programme

MILLIONS of pounds worth of funding for a long-term sexual health strategy in the Lothians has still not been assured, it has emerged.

Health chiefs are concerned that around £3 million from the Scottish Government has not been rubber stamped, which would hamper their bid to improve the sexual health of local people.

NHS Lothian wants to reduce levels of infections including HIV and chlamydia, while raising awareness among youngsters to bring down underage pregnancies and teenage abortions.
