
The Scottish Conservatives said they would set up a £10 million fund to supply treatments not currently available in Scotland.
The proposal mirrors action taken by the UK Government to provide around £200 million per year for England and Wales in a bid to increase access to cancer drugs recommended by doctors.
The pledge follows revelations that there are at least 18 cancer drugs available to patients south of the border that Scottish doctors are not allowed to prescribe for reasons of cost.
Tory health spokesman Murdo Fraser said the current situation was unfair and could not continue.
