CPD Should Be Linked To Practice Area, RPS Says

Continuing professional development entries should be linked to competencies for the individual’s scope of practice, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has said.

In response to the General Pharmaceutical Council’s consultation on the draft CPD framework and rules, the RPS argues (PDF, 92K) that this will “better meet [the] developmental needs of individual pharmacists and give additional value to their professional practice”.

The current system allows pharmacists the option to record competencies linked to learning, but it is not part of the review process.
