Instalment Dispensing - Electronic Claims

If you are sending electronic claims for items which you have dispensed in instalments, you must ensure that you have endorsed the electronic claim accordingly. If you do not, PSD will pay the correct amount of drug but will not allocate the correct amount of dispensing. This could affect your transitional payment for next year. If you do not know how to endorse a prescription electronically with instalment dispensing, you should ask your IM&T co-ordinator.  Meanwhile do not scan the scripts so that they cannot be sent without endorsement.

PSD's system is now set up to price as many items as possible through epay, so it looks to the electronic message first. If there is an endorsement on the electronic script then it will be diverted to a manual keyer and the script will be paid from paper.

Please remeber that whether or not you send an electronic claim for an item you dispensed in instalments, YOU MUST ENDORSE THE PAPER SCRIPT.  PSD still pays instalment dispensing from the paper.
