Pharmacies in Scotland can play a vital role in identifying people at risk from heart disease, according to an evaluation of a "Keep well" health checks pilot.
The report states that the programme of health checks in pharmacies "did appear to be identifying a significant minority of participants with either significant cardiovascular disease risk factors or with high blood pressure".
Community Pharmacy Scotland has called for a further roll-out of the programme from the original seven health boards that took part in the pilot.
