Pholcodine Not Linked With Anaphylaxis In Anaesthesia

Patients taking pholcodine-containing cough medicines can continue to do so, the European Medicines Agency has concluded after investigating a possible link between use of these medicines and anaphylactic reactions in patients subsequently given neuromuscular-blocking agents, used in anaesthesia.
