Financial Framework - 2011/2012

The negotiating team has managed to reach a one year settlement with the Scottish Government for 2011/12.  The settlement was reached much earlier than in recent years in the main due to the election campaign commencing in March 2011 and the outgoing ministers and civil servants being keen to ensure a stable platform for contractors during the election period.   The settlement agreed for 2011/12 was made against a backdrop of ongoing scrutiny of all aspects of Scottish Government spending.  Read More ...

Financial Framework - 2010/2011

During 2009/10 CPS accepted a two year financial settlement, which in hind sight, has proved to have been a shrewd decision. The current public financial position has placed scrutiny on all aspects of Scottish Government spending and we have not been immune from that. Accepting an uplift during last year’s negotiations for 2010/11 in many ways secured that funding, and obligated our civil servant colleagues to honour that commitment. Read More ...
