Remuneration

The Scottish Government circular PCA P 2009 (18) outlined the changes to funding for MAS from October 2009. It has been agreed with Community Pharmacy Scotland to remove protection from contractors and to pay for actual registration numbers. As part of this agreement fixed payment bands for Bands 4 and 5 have been introduced.

Payment for the Minor Ailment Service is made on a capitation basis calculated on the number of registrations held within the Central Patient Registration System the calculation is carried out on the last day of each month.
