PHS Campaigns 2011-2012
A recent circular has details of the PHS poster campaigns for 2011-12. The list is subject to change during the year depending on need.

| Scottish Bowel Screening Programme | 15 August – 2 October 2011 | This campaign is to promote bowel screening. Pharmacies will be supplied with information leaflets and local advertising around the campaign. |
| Seasonal Flu | 3 October – 20 November 2011 | Flu and the importance of vaccination will again be reinforced with the poster campaign. The Infoscotland website provides good information for the public along with supporting leaflets to encourage uptake of the vaccination. The Health Scotland website on Flu immunisation provides links to the Green Book and Scottish Government circulars on Influenza vaccination. |
| NHS 24 Be Ready for Winter (TBC) | 21 November – 8 January 2012 | Campaign to remind patients of the need to order their prescription within plenty of time for the planned closures of General Practice for Christmas and New Year |
| FAST (Stroke Awareness) | 9 January – 26 February 2012 |
Campaign to promote identification and awareness of stroke. What is FAST? FAST requires an assessment of three specific symptoms of stroke. Facial weakness - can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped? Arm weakness - can the person raise both arms? Speech problems - can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
