Remuneration
The Scottish Government circular PCA (P) (2010) 15 outlined the funding for PHS from May 2010. Remuneration for the core service has been reduced to £250 per month from 1st May 2010.
The funding for the two patient PHS services has been agreed as follows:
Sexual Health Services
EHC Service
Payment of £25 per EHC Intervention
Reimbursement for Levonorgestrel prescribed using CPUS Prescription form
Contractors should remember to prescribe either Levonorgestrel 1500mcg or Levonelle 1500 to ensure payment for medicine supply
Chlamydia Testing and Treatment Service
A monthly availability for service payment of £40 will remain in place until the end of September
Payment of £25 per patient counselled and treated if required
Reimbursement for anti-biotics prescribed using the National PGD using a CPUS Prescription form
Prescriptions must be written for Azithromycin 250mg capsules to ensure PSD pay
Smoking Cessation Services
Payment of £25 per patient month for the provision of support and treatment
Reimbursement for Nicotine Replacement therapy prescribed using a CPUS Prescription form
