New Public Health Services
On the 25th of June Shona Robison MSP Scotland's Minister for Public Health announced that Community Pharmacy contractors will be able to start delivering a smoking cessation service and a new sexual health service.
The smoking cessation service will allow community pharmacist contractors to deliver a 12 week advice, support and NRT programme to help patients quit smoking.

The sexual health service will allow contractors to deliver two key sexual health services
· An emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) service.
· A testing and treatment for Chlamydia service.

Changes to Remuneration for Public Health Service
Community Pharmacy Scotland and the Scottish Government have also announced changes to the remuneration for PHS and MAS. Details of this can be found in the Scottish Government circular PCA(P)(2008)17 or the Community Pharmacy Scotland financial framework.
