Public Health Services-Patient Interventions
On the 25th of June 2008 Shona Robison MSP Scotland's Minister for Public Health announced that Community Pharmacy contractors will be able to start delivering a smoking cessation service and a new sexual health service.
Community Pharmacy Scotland is delighted that the services are to be continued for the financial year 2009-10.
The smoking cessation service will allow community pharmacist contractors to deliver a 12 week advice, support and NRT programme to help patients quit smoking.
The sexual health service will allow contractors to deliver two key sexual health services
· An emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) service.
· A testing and treatment for Chlamydia service.
The claim form for the delivery of the service is available here.
